Waiting for Baby...

While I really do love black and white photos, I rarely have the opportunity to create a video that features almost entirely all black and white images. There was just something about this session that the B&W images just completely made the mood. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I do!

For a little more of the back story, read on below...

I met Ashley and Justin months ago when they first booked their documentary newborn session, and we had planned for weeks on meeting over the July 4th weekend to capture some shots of Ashley's beautiful belly.

I typically try to schedule maternity sessions in the mornings so that the light is still nice and the weather is not too warm.

In the weeks leading up t the session, as the temperatures in Vienna crepted closer and closer to 30 degrees centigrade (that is about 86 degrees Fahrenheit for those of you not on the metric system), I was a little worried that it would be too hot, and too sunny, especially for an expectant mother. Having has two summer babies, I know that when those temperatures soar, your legs get swollen and your feet achy. And there is no amount of shade or ice to cool you off.

We totally lucked out that morning: the day dawned cooler, and with a bit of cloud cover. making for a beautiful session with a lovely couple. I am so very happy with how the images turned out. I cannot wait to share the full gallery with the couple!
